A very clever, patented underground dewatering system designed and proven to combat or eliminate common issues with underground dewatering, such as:
- Premature rotor & stator burnout
- Huge tank dumping resource allocations
- Tailing/settlement dams filling with sediment.
Liquimech’s patented underground dewatering system uses a vortex separation system which begins as soon as the contaminated water enters the unit. Our unique system causes particles larger than water to be pushed out to the outermost of the allowable area of the reverse cyclone forcing separation. The partly separated water mass is then slowed through the use of gravity and friction of itself to produce the peak settlement time, further separating sludge from clean water.
How it works:
- The cleanest water (being the lightest particle) rises to the proprietary weir which ensures only the cleanest water moves onto the next stage of filtration.
- The Liquimech second stage uses the velocity of flow and a unique baffle system to further separate clean water from sludge.
- Dirty water from sumps is pumped into the primary system via the inlet
- Sludge is transported either to a dump tank (as drawn) or can be further refined to cake or be transported by a trunk conveyor or similar to the surface.
- As part of the dump cycle the sludge pump is also activated.
- The Liquimech system is fully automated. As soon as a pre-set level of sediment is reached the valves are triggered to auto dump.
