A self bunded fuel tank is a tank within a tank. This design uses double steel walls for safe and efficient fuel storage:

• The inner tank stores the fuel.
• The outer tank, known as the bund, acts as a safety net.

How does it work?

• The space between the two tanks, which can hold 110% of the inner tank’s capacity, serves as a built-in spill containment feature. This eliminates the need for additional external measures to control spills and helps to prevent overfilling.
