Due to the unforgiving and remote environment of PNG, Clough Group were on the lookout for a truck fill solution that could stand up to the rigours of extreme humidity, cyclones, poor water quality & the rugged tropical environment of PNG.
They also needed a solution that could be easily freighted in sea containers to site, which could be safely and easily installed once onsite. Filling a range of equipment as the project progresses, Clough needed a solution that was easily adapted to the changing requirements.
Being a long way from home base with limited local supply, Clough had to be sure that products were solid & reliable.
Liquimech was able to supply a solution that not only met but exceeded Clough’s requirements with a Cyclone Rated, Corrosion Resistant and robust system that was easily adapted to the changing requirements of the project.
Included in Liquimech scope was:
- Foot Valves
- Floatation Devices
- Suction & Delivery Hoses
- Pumps
- Standpipe Systems
- All ancillary fittings and fixtures to supply a complete package from water source to truck.
The Liquimech system was able to more than able to satisfy Clough Group’s needs for a reliable water management and truck fill package a long way from home, in Western Australia.
The standpipe was able to be set up safely with no working under suspended loads, is tough and meeting the challenges of the rough terrain, and is set up to be able to be quickly and easily relocated at any time.
Liquimech’s custom package of foot valves, floatation devices, suction & delivery hoses, pumps and ancillary fittings are also meeting and exceeding the needs at the PNG Lobrum Naval Base Project being delivered by Clough.
