Our Guarding Solutions
Guarding of rotary and moving equipment should be highest priority on any site, especially on a mine site or a large industrial facility due to the remoteness and dangerous nature. Keeping personnel free from harm should be any company’s first priority.

Coupling Guards
Coupling guards are an essential but frequently overlooked piece of safety equipment designed to protect the user. Typically, a coupling guard is attached to the frame of a pump, which can result in a poor fit. This creates an unsafe, non-functional guard that may leave the coupling exposed, thereby increasing the risk of an accident in pumping applications. These guards are compliant with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, but their performance, particularly in terms of safety, is often flawed. By means of the coupling, the motor and pump shafts are joined. Inside the coupling guard, the shafts rotate between 350 and 400 rpm on average. If someone accidentally touches the rotating coupling, they could sustain severe injuries. Coupling guards’ significance cannot be overstated. User safety should be prioritised in design.
